Billy Bush-An example of how what you say earlier can get you fired later
by Nathan'ette Burdine: October 22, 2016

Poor ol’ Billy Bush there is an example of how what you say several years earlier, on a job, can get you fired several years later from another job.

Billy Bush and Donald Trump’s now infamous 2005 Access Hollywood tape is an example of three of the top ten reasons why employees get fired.

Office politics, gossip, and sexual harassment are among three of the ten reasons why employees get fired.

And for Bush, these three things became his deadly triangle. In 2005, Bush was the host of Access Hollywood.

During that year, he and Donald Trump were on an Access Hollywood bus, heading to a soap opera studio.

The two began a colorful conversation about married women and “grabbing pussy.” And anyone who’s been employed knows that gossiping about whore hopping with married women and “grabbing pussy” is just not something you do.

Yet Bush, who behaved like a sugar high child, seemed over excited to be in the presence of the “Great Donald Trump” and to talk about these all so forbidden topics in the workplace.

Trump, who believes he’s God’s greatest creation, was more than happy that Bush was excited to be in his presence.

So the Donald did what only the Donald could do which is to stroke his ego by telling the young lad about how he picks up the women folks.

The Donald told Bush, “-And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything…Grab them by the pussy [Billy Bush laughs]. You can do anything.”

And “anything” is what little Bushy there wanted to see if the Donald could do.

Little Bushy got a chance to see if the Donald’s fame gave him free access to the no touch zone after they got off of the Access Hollywood bus.

Once off the bus, Bush and Trump met up with “Days of Our Lives” soap star Arianne Zucker. Being the human that he is, Bush stood cheesing at this all too good of an opportunity to see if Trump’s fame would indeed give him a free pass to go where men like Bush dreamed of going.

Bush told Zucker, “How about a little hug for the Donald? He just got off the bus.”

While Zucker and Trump hugged each other, Bush stood with a wide grin on his face as if to say, “I wonder if he’s gonna grab her by the pussy.”

For his part, Trump didn’t grab Zucker by the pussy, but he did tell her that his wife, Melania Trump, gave him permission to give her a hug.

Not to be left out, Bush decided that he wanted a hug too. Bush asked Zucker, “How about a little hug for the Bushy?”

Zucker gave Bushy one of those, o-kay, hugs. Yet, it still made his day.

Unfortunately for him, the unh-unhness of the interview didn’t go over too well with his bosses at NBC.

Bush had just joined the morning hour of the Today show during this summer.

After the tape surfaced, Bush found himself in employment limbo because NBC executives didn’t want to deal with the presidential politics that came along with Trump and Bush.

Trump is the Republican Party Presidential nominee and Bush is the nephew of former President George H.W. Bush Sr., and the first cousin of former President George W. Bush Jr.

NBC executives knew that if they ignored Trump and Bush’s gossipy and sexually degrading conversation, then they would be giving the impression that they were co-signing onto Trump and Bush’s uncouth behavior.

So NBC executives did what they had to do. And what they had to do was to suspend Bush from his job as the Today host and place him on an indefinite suspension, which is code for soon-to-be fired.

Recognizing that his fate had been sealed, Bush began renegotiating a financial settlement with his soon-to-be former employer.

There are reports that the former Today host will receive $10M dollars, which is the remaining amount in his three-year contract.

On Monday, NBC announced that it had officially fired Bush.
